Legends have won here: Petty, Pearson, Elliott, and Earnhardt. Johnny Mantz won the inaugural event in 1950 and David Pearson has a record 10 wins at this historic track. Be there as the Labor Day weekend tradition continues with a new twist: Darlington Raceway is now the first race in NASCAR’s playoffs making the crown jewel Southern 500 a postseason race.
